New Saddle River Cafe Gets Recognition as One of the Best in 2018

It’s a great year for Chef Jamie Knott from the Saddle River Inn. He opened up his new cafe and it been a hit since open. And now its just be awarded as one of the best in North NJ for 2018.

North Jersey Record has released the latest Best Restaurants of 2018 and Saddle River Cafe was awarded one of the best new restaurants of the year.

From the Record:

Any wonder this new cafe is so popular? Besides oozing charm -— with lovely robin egg blue chairs and comfy banquette seating — the eats are by chef Jamie Knott, the same guy responsible for one of Bergen County’s top restaurants: the Saddle River Inn, which is just across the Saddle River. On the menu: a lobster omelette with fingerling potatoes and a Bearnaise sauce ($22), a gluten-free “BKT” omelette with bacon, kale and tomato jam; acai bowl with pineapple, kiwi and dragon fruit ($10); Challah French toast with fruit chutney ($14); and a smoked salmon platter with tomato jam and everything flagel ($22). And the coffee is darn good too, made with highly prized Colombian beans from Devocion. The formula is so successful Knott said he plans to open a few more Saddle River Cafes. We can hardly wait.
